LAPHIC Modern Homes is a Kampala-based construction and design practice — uniting architecture, interior, exterior, and landscape under one disciplined roof.
For over a decade, LAPHIC has built homes, offices, and gardens across Uganda with an unhurried discipline — drawing first, listening always, and building only what the site, the budget, and the client truly need. Patient work, made to last.
Get to Know Us
From the first hand-drawn line to the last shrub planted, LAPHIC works in five quiet conversations — construction, architecture, interior, exterior, and landscape — backed by a sixth, our 3D studio, that lets you walk through a project long before it is built.

Our build arm carries the drawings into the field — the same team that designed your home will sign off every pour, every joint, every snag. One contract, one accountability.

Gypsum, painting, custom furniture, aquariums, curtains and lighting — we coordinate every interior trade so the finish feels considered, layered, and quietly luxurious from day one.
From cladding and finishes to porches, paving and outdoor lighting — exterior work that protects what we build inside, and gives the street something to look at for the next forty years.

We design landscapes that knit a building into its ground — patient planting, durable hardscape, and water that moves the way it should. Less ornament. More years.

Every project starts on paper, with a slow conversation about light, climate, family life, and the long view from the road. We work site-first — sketching, modelling, and refining until the building feels inevitable.
Photorealistic interior and exterior renders, walk-throughs and short films — so you can stand inside your future living room, judge the light, and change your mind while it is still cheap to do so.

Custom aluminium gates, balustrades, screens and cladding — fabricated in-house, finished to last. From precision louvres to feature entrance gates, we draw, weld, and install every line ourselves.
From the lake-edge in Wakiso to the hills above Kampala, we build close to home — visiting every site, often. Our footprint is intentionally local, which is how we keep the quality where we want it.
All Locations
A home in three courtyards, drawn for the lake. Three pavilions arrange themselves around planted courts; lime-washed walls catch the morning, and a deep east–west spine breathes all day long. A quiet exercise in restraint, materials, and the slow life.
LAPHIC drew our home around the way we actually live — the courtyard, the deep verandah, the kitchen looking out. Two years in, we still find ourselves grateful.
